He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine H. (Mehigan) and Frederick J. Mason, Sr.; his granddaughter Grace Mason Rett; and his siblings, Joseph "Buddy" Mason, Sr. and Catherine Lantz.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Mason (Connolly); his children, Frederick J. Mason, III (Cathy) of Norwood, AnnMarie Brewer (Jeffrey) of Franklin, John Mason (Lisa) of Sturbridge, Michael Mason (Becky) of Plainville, Walter Mason (Robin) of Franklin, Mary Jo Rett (Christopher) of Uxbridge, Elizabeth Mason of Franklin and Patrick Mason (Leigh) of Ipswich; his sisters, Marie Kelley, Janice Lucas, Eleanore Flaherty and Patricia Payer (Robert); and his sister-in-law MaryAnn Connolly. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
