He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanne Shanahan (Silvestri); his parents, Edward Shanahan and Loretta Shanahan (Grimes); his children, Denise Auchterlonie and Edward Shanahan (Denise Marie); his grandchildren, Taylor of Franklin, Jake of Franklin, Thomas of Franklin and Christopher of Franklin; and his brother Kevin Shanahan.
