He is survived by: his sons, Jared Gately (Erin) and Nicholas Gately (Tessa); his grandchildren, Tyler Morrill and Juliana Gately; and his siblings, Chris Hallowell, Rick Gately, Bobbie Smith and Niki Kaszuba. He is also survived by his family and cherishing his friends.
