He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas T. Newman and Lynthel Newman (Butler); his wife Helen B. Newman (Lombardo); and his siblings, John Newman, George "Roland" Newman, Joan Whetto, Henry Newman, Harvey Newman, Eleanor Mattingly and Theodore Newman.
He is survived by: his son John S. Newman (Megan) of Framingham; his granddaughter Hazel; and his siblings, Virginia Mayo, Douglas Newman, Francis "Tayler" Newman, Dorothy Newman, Barbara Munroe and Carol Ogle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
