He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel and Ruth Pinn; his children, Eric Pinn (Vicki) and Michele Wellman (Bryan Wellman); his grandchildren, Madeleine, Gabriella, Aidan Pinn and Ryan Wellman; and his sister Joyce Fox.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held this spring, In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Framingham Public Library – Christa McAuliffe branch, 746 Water St., Framingham MA.
