She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Gaines; and her brother John Duchemin. She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Gaines of Framingham, Richard Gaines of Malden and Nancy Bober of Mashpee; and her siblings, Lomond "Brownie" Duchemin of Uncasville, CT and Elizabeth "Betty" Bezanson.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
