He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carter and Suzanna Carter (Bradley); and his siblings, Frederick "Ted", Walter "Babe", Eleanor Carter, Robert Carter (Rob), Evelyn "Deet" Carter (Beaudet) and Allan Carter (Buck).
He is survived by: his daughters, Ava Scavelli, Susan Carter, Tina McCarthy and Michelle Guerrlich; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Jennifer, Heather, Matthew, Cassaundra and Ariel; and his sister Mary Theresa Scata. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
