He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Gillespie and Mary Gillespie (McNeely); and his wife Mary A. Gillespie (Broderick). He is survived by: his children, Ann M. Filippone (Jay) of Ashland, Kathy C. Pierce (Colin) of Shrewsbury and Jerry Gillespie (Sarah) of Sutton; his grandchildren, Kelli, Katelyn Filippone, Anneka, Aileen Gillespie, Declan and Sloane Pierce; and his brother Hugh Gillespie of England. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
