He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman L. Fontaine and Claudine Fontaine (Brouillette); his daughter Lynne; and his granddaughter Nicole. He is survived by: his wife Diane S. Fontaine (Cavallini); his children, Donald of Dennis and Lisa of Framingham; his grandchildren, Jesse, Melody, Ashley and Emily; and his great grandchildren, April, Caleb, Tyler, Karina and Ava.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home (11 Lincoln St, Framingham, MA 01702). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Church (74 School St, Framingham, MA 01701).
