Van F. Canna Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Van F. Canna of Foxboro, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 21, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Van F. Canna to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clelia Cann (Mendozzi) and Silvio Cann; and his son Bruce Canna. He is survived by: his wife Amalia Canna (Camozzi); his daughter Paula Chubet (Canna); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Joseph Canna, Christa, Maya and Lydia Chubet; and his siblings, Napoleone Cavlan of California and Alida Cann of Idaho. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

To ensure the health and safety of all friends and loved ones, funeral services and internment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made in Van's name to the Brigham COVID-19 Response Fund.

“Although I did not have a lot of interaction with Van through my life-when I did it was always very special. He was very kind to me. He gave me strong support-when I really needed it and I will never forget it. When I received my 8th degree in Uechi Ryu a few years ago after the test I heard my voice called. It was Van and he told me how proud he was of me for sticking with Uechi all these years and how good I looked at the test. Those words meant so much to me. I will say prayers for him.”
