Sara K. Schmitter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara K. Schmitter of Florence, Massachusetts, born in Keene, New Hampshire, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Kathleen E. Hoctor (Abbey) of Turners Falls, MA and Martin L "Hairy" Hoctor of Keene, NH; her husband John Robert Schmitter of Florence, MA; her sister Michelle Paulin (Robert) of Turners Falls, MA.; her aunts, Ann Gray of Sullivan, NH, Robin Casey (Bob), Theresa Cody (John) and Donna Lyn Potts of Norway; her siblings-in-law, Diane Sabin of Orlando, FL and Earl Schmitter of Florence, MA; and her niece Julia Paulin.
In keeping with Sara's request for simplicity, she will be cremated and will be interred in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Florence, MA privately at a later date. A life celebration gathering will take place at a future date, place and time to be announced when the social gathering limitations of Covid19 have been lifted.
It is suggested, that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sara's memory be directed to the Dakin Humane Society, P.O. Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01001.
