He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence F. Twining and Frances Twining (Bowen); and his siblings, William, Eugene, Edward, David and Carol.
He is survived by: his significant other Sharon A. Bernard (Morin) of Fitchburg; his sons, Stephen J. Carlson, Douglas P. Carlson and Greg Carlson; and his pet Dexter. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
