She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis and Doris (Braley); her husband Frank "Tom" Hamel; and her brother Michael. She is survived by: her children, Dawn M. Silva (Dale Hasenzahl) of Lunenburg, Gregory S. Hamel (Marie) of Hooksett, NH and Christopher S. Hamel (Laura) of Uxbridge; her brother Dennis; her grandchildren, Shawna Moore, Ryan Silva, Eric Silva and Jason Hamel; her great grandchildren, Gavin Moore and Gwen Moore; and her stepgrandchildren, Sarah and Maximus. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
