He is survived by: his wife Donna Emily Merchant (Rivest); his children, Michael A. Merchant II of Fiskdale, MA and Melissa M. Merchant (Raymond Cousineau) of Southbridge, MA; his granddaughter Rose Mary Lapierre; and his brothers, David Merchant (Beth) of Granby, MA and Kenny Merchant (Barb) of South Hadley, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
