He was predeceased by: his wife Jean M. Halsdorff; his brother Richard P. Halsdorff of Douglas; and his parents, Benjamin F. Halsdorff and Gloria T. Halsdorff (Menard). He is survived by: his children, Dennis J. Halsdorff, II of Fiskdale, Colleen D. Palacios (Anthony) of Worcester, Erin C. Halsdorff of Ware, Meaghan J. Oldenburg and Josh Fickett of Fiskdale; his grandchildren, Hunter W. Oldenburg and Clover J. Palacios; his brother Russell J. Halsdorff (Barbara) of Apple Valley, California; and his sister-in-law Ellen Halsdorff of Douglas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
