She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Fortner and Ruth Fortner (Carty). She is survived by: her husband Joe Shaer of Feeding Hills, MA; her sons, Chris Jennison (Laura) of Agawam, MA and Todd Jennison (Debbie) of Ludlow, MA; her sister Terry Field (Bill) of Delhi, NY; and her grandchildren, Donovan Jennison, Christopher Jennison (Alissa), Colby Jennison, Kayla Jennison and Connor Jennison. She is also survived by many other friends and family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to the Westfield Homeless Cat Project, donations may be mailed to 1124 East Mountain Rd, Westfield, MA 01085.
