He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Sawyer and Dorothy Sawyer; and his brothers, Albert, Edward, Frederick and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Marc Sawyer and Hether Whittier (Gary); his grandchildren, Rachael, Hannah Sawyer, Brady and Aidan Whittier; and his sister Eleanor Pelletier (George).
