He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary E. Smith (Blunt) and James M. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Rae Smith (Matton) of Falmouth; his children, Patrick J. Smith (Kathryn) of Arvada, CO, Brendan S. Smith (Rachel) of Foxboro and Meghan R. Smith (Andrew Kenney) of Medford; his brother James Smith of Milton; and his mother-in-law Bernadine M. Matton of Methuen.
