He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Pereira; his parents, Joseph Pereira and Louise Pereira (Tavares); and his brother John Pereira. He is survived by: his close friend May Reed of Bourne, MA; his sons, Albert Pereira (Susan) of Bourne, MA and Christopher Pereira (Sharon) of England; his granddaughters, April, Evelyn, Isabella and Sally; his brother Joseph Pereira (Heather) of Fall River, MA; his nieces, Ann, Mary-Jane, Janet and Corinna; his nephew Ryan; and his sister-in-law Jane Pereira.
