With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Smith of Falmouth, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2025 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurence C. Jones, Sr. and Jennie E. Jones (Evens); her spouse Attorney Allen C. Smith; her brother Laurence C. Jones, Jr.; and her son-in-law Robert Rushton.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Smith-Rushton of Waquoit, MA, Richard Whitefleet-Smith (JoAnn) of Worcester, MA and David Smith (Julie) of West Bridgewater, MA.; her grandchildren, Jenny Lee Dixon (Matthew) of Latrobe, PA, Jason Rushton (Kathryn) of Middletown, RI, Jamie Menard (Daniel) of Madison, WI, Laura Whitefleet-Smith (Stephen Glancy) of Yorktown, VA, Rebecca DelTorchio (John) of Gloucester, MA, Daniel Smith of New Bedford, MA and Joshua Smith of West Bridgewater, MA.; her great grandchildren, Jack, Noah Dixon, Aidan, Benjamin Rushton, Bennett, Rosie Menard, Logan Smith and Callum Glancy; and her sister-in-law Louise Smith Kuzmich of Billerica. She is also survived by cousin, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Waquoit Congregational Church (15 Parsons Ln, East Falmouth, MA 02536).
