He is survived by: his parents, Emil D. and Marion Tietje (Reiss); his child Emil David Tietje, III; his wife Nancy of Kingston, WA; his grandchildren, Anastasia Carl, Marie Illaria Tietje, Wesley Buscher, Nicholas Buscher, Emily Wang, Elsa Levy, Lee Tietje, Sarah Tietje-Mietz and Ava Tietje; his great grandchildren, Calvin Carl, Riley Buscher, Gavin Lee and Lilah Rose Tietje; his sisters, Mary Garrett and JoAnne Briggs; and also, Marion Elizabeth Buscher (Gene) of Mountain View, HI, James Hanley Tietje, Francis Joseph Tietje (Margaret) of Arlington, MA and Christopher John Tietje (Jane) of Annapolis, MD.
