He was predeceased by: his wife Mary A. LaForest (Leduc); his siblings, Ann A. Allard, John "Bunker" LaForest, Jr., Robert, Kenneth, Joan LaForest and Richard Cisek; and his parents, John B. LaForest, Sr. and Joan LaForest (Cisek).
He is survived by: his children, Tim Hurd (Amy Hurd) of South Carolina, Ronald LaForest Jr. of Fall River, Daniel LaForest (Nicole Carvalho) of North Dartmouth, Cynthia LaForest of Assonet, Christopher LaForest (Jessica Smith) of Fall River and Crystal LaForest (Kevin Cashman) of Fall River; his grandchildren, Anthony LaForest, Jayden Cashman, Dylan LaForest, Shane LaForest and Kiva Cashman; and his siblings, Lorraine Machado, Donna Mae, Chester and Eugene "Whitey" LaForest. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home (690 S Main St, Fall River, MA 02721). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at the Notre Dame Cemetery (1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02721).
