He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Souza and Angela Souza (Arruda); and his brother Charles Souza. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn J. Souza (Medeiros); his children, Patricia A. Holden (Paul) of Westport and Charles Souza (Sandra) of Fall River; his siblings, Judith Pires (Richard) of Easton and Milton Souza (Emily) of Fall River; his grandchildren, Matthew Holden (Amanda Jeanne) and Amanda K. Holden; and his great grandchildren, Roger and Jeanne Holden. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (1335 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720).
