He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond S. Thompson and Elizabeth Thompson (Pettey); his sister Pauline Gambon (Thompson); and his brother-in-law Raymond J. Gambon. He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth "Libby" (Hammond); his daughters, Candace E. Greland and Holly C. Thompson; his grandchildren, Maeve E. Greland and Brody T. Greland; his child-in-law Thomas J. Greland; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas W., Jane M. Hammond and Carolyn Morwick (Hammond). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, along with countless cousins and friends.
