We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2025, Peter K. Read of Fall River, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Peter farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Peter is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Read, Sr. and Mildred Read (Sypko); and his siblings, Arthur Read, Barbara Orton and Alan David Read.
He is survived by: his siblings, John W. Read Jr., Susan Rogers of Fall River and Betty Mathias (John) of Westport. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Hathaway Home For Funerals (1813 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720). A prayer will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Beech Grove Cemetery (879 Main Rd, Westport, MA 02790).
