He is survived by: his wife Maria Jesus Monteiro Veiga (Fontes); his children, Helena Alves, Clarisse Monteiro, Fativa Alves, Amilcar Veiga, Joviano Veiga, Maria Andrade, Isabel Furtado, Jose Da Veiga, Luis Veiga and Manuel Veiga; and his brothers, Antonio Da Veiga and Antonio Barbosa Da Veiga. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
