He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel J. Araujo and Laura Araujo (Amaral); and his siblings, Lucille Araujo Reis, John Araujo and Daniel J. Araujo, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Araujo (Souza); his children, Melissa Araujo Peixoto of Fall River and Michael Araujo, II of Fall River; and his sister Donna Araujo Hastie (Charles). He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720).
