He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis and Margarida (Oliveira); his son Derek M. Rego; and his siblings, Luis, Herman Rego and Victoria Rego.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Rego of Sarasota, FL and Stephen Rego of Fall River, MA; his siblings, Edmund Rego, Maria and Carmo Medeiros; his granddaughters, Bianca Rego and Olivia Rose Rego; and also Leonor Rego (Medeiros).
