He is survived by: his wife Filomena F. Melo (Teixeira); his children, Jennifer Mello, Shannan Mello and Jacklyn Mello; his grandchildren, Charlotte and Cameron; and his siblings, Lina Belchior (Luis), Neomi Albergaria (Richard) and Natalie Sousa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
