It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria V. Monteiro (Fall River, Massachusetts), who passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Maria departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Maria may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Maria leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Arthur F. Monteiro; her son Paul Monteiro; her parents, Jose Jorge and Evangelina Jorge (Melo); her brother Norberto Jorge (Esmeralda) of Swansea; her granddaughter Tiffany DoRego; her great grandchildren, Cameron Teasdale, Manuel Lopez and Breidy DoRego; and also Maria I.. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (189 Essex St, Fall River, MA 02720). A burial will be held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at the Saint Patrick's Cemetery (2233 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720).
