She was predeceased by: her husband Felipe Borges of Anne's Hospital; her parents, Manuel Melo and Ana Melo (Faria); and her siblings, Mariano Melo, Jeremias Melo and Manuel Melo.
She is survived by: her children, Nelia Arruda (Manuel) of North Easton, MA, Maria Gallagher (David) of Bellingham, MA and Marlene Branco (Joseph) of Fall River; her sibling Agostinho Melo of Fall River; her grandchildren, Craig, Kyle, Shaun, Andrew, Lisa, Ryan and Caitlin; and her great grandchildren, Juliana, Mya, Shannon and Leanne. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
