He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Monte and Florinda Monte (Almeida); and his sister Maria Teresa Dias. He is survived by: his children, Ana Monte (Abel Soares) of Fall River, David Monte (Lucy) of Fall River and Joaquim "Jack" Monte (Becky) of Fall River; his granddaughters, Leandra Monte, Savana Soares and Sierra Soares; his great grandchildren, Aiden Miranda and Demetrius Patterson; and his siblings, Jose A. Monte of Swansea and Conceicao Pereira of Fall River. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
