He was predeceased by: his wife Maria A. Aguiar (Andre); his parents, Jacinto Leandro Aguiar and Belmira Botelho; and his siblings, Izaltina Azevedo and Jeremias Botelho.
He is survived by: his children, John Aguiar (Nancy) of Tiverton, Katherine Aguiar Raposo (Antonio) of Fall River, Ann Aguiar of Fall River and Kristie Ponte (Joseph) of Assonet; his brother Humberto Aguiar (Coralia) of Somerset; and his grandchildren, Jarred Aguiar (Adelaide), Jillian Aguiar, Colin, Victoria Heroux, Dylin, Ryan, Kaitlyn Ponte and Kasey Juarez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name Church (709 Hanover St, Fall River, MA 02720).
