He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Antunes (Sousa); his parents, Joaquim Antunes and Joaquina Freitas; his son Manuel Antunes; and his siblings, Manuel Antunes, Joaquina Sousa, Conceicao Antunes, Erondina Antunes and Merces Antunes.
He is survived by: his children, Roque Antunes of Portugal, Martinho Antunes of Fall River, Jordan Antunes (Nancy) of Waltham, Teresa Rogers (late James) of Fall River and Salete Antunes-Kenyon (Steven) of Taunton; his grandchildren, Ashley Rogers-Wheet (Carson), Eric Antunes, Kristen Antunes and Christina Kenyon; and his great grandchildren, Catia Wheet and Dania Wheet. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Espirito Santo Church (311 Alden St, Fall River, MA 02723).
