With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Arruda (Fall River, Massachusetts), who passed away on August 30, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Arruda and Georgette Arruda (Collard). He is survived by: his wife Diane L. Arruda (Raposa); his daughter Jessica Downey (Michael); his mother-in-law Alice Braga (Viveiros); his brother Michael Arruda (Brycie); and his brother-in-law David Raposa (Julie). He is also survived by his family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home (690 S Main St, Fall River, MA 02721). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at the Notre Dame Cemetery (1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02721).
