He was predeceased by: his father Jose S. De Melo; and his wife Dorene Mello (Bodio). He is survived by: his mother Izaura De Melo (Rebello); his children, Alex Mello (Chelsea) of Swansea and Alison Mello (Michelle) of Brooklyn, NY; his brother Manuel Mello (Jennifer) of Fall River; his grandchildren, Max and Sara; and his pet Max. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
