He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Pires Tavares and Evangelina Correia Tavares; and his brother Carlos Tavares. He is survived by: his wife Maria D. (Camara) Tavares (Mary Lou); his children, Kelly Tavares of Fall River and Shaun Tavares (Amanda) of Fall River; his grandchildren, Lucas and Ariana; his sister Elmina "Ellie" Gaspar (Carlos) of Fall River; and his friend Pires. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Fall River Chapel (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720).
