He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Rosa Lopes Barata (Valente); his parents, Jaime Batista and Jacinta Batista (Almeida); and his brother Mario Barata Batista. He is survived by: his daughters, Isabel S. Paz (Fernando) of Fall River and Maria; his grandchildren, Ruben, Anibal, Dario, Tania, Carina, Fabio, Tatiana and Margarida; his great grandchildren, Harper, Khloe, Leo, Kaylee, Logan, Kane, Kenzie, Liam and Waverly; and his brother Raul Barata Batista of Lisbon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Hathaway Home For Funerals (1813 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Church. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at the St. Patrick's Cemetery (2233 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720).
