She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph M. Silvia; her parents, Antonio C. Mello and Maria P. Mello (Viveiros); and her siblings, Mary Camara, Adrian, Theophilo, James, Antone, George and Manuel Mello.

She is survived by: her daughter Maureen Lema (David); her grandson Robert Pacheco (Tanya); and her great grandchild Lily Pacheco. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
