He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Manuel Machado and Teresa Maria Machado (Vieira); his brother-in-law David Rocha; and also Bertha Machado (Frias). He is survived by: his close friend Diane; his children, Sandy M. Borges (Roberto), Steven Machado, Christine Machado of New Bedford, Michael J. Machado of New Bedford and Manuel Machado, Jr. (Andrew Rys) of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Joshua A. Borges, Sgt Katelyn Borges, Colby Borges, Seth Machado, Madison, Mason Glossip, Eli, Aubrey Machado and Avery Soares; his great grandchildren, Adrian, Kayliana Machado and Seth Machado, Jr.; his mother-in-law Elaine L. Rocha of Fairhaven; and his siblings-in-law, Jeannine Rocha of Fairhaven and Jimmy Rocha of Fairhaven. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
