She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Grindrod; her parents, William Karvonen and Florence Karvonen (Simula); and her son Lawrence Grindrod. She is survived by: her children, Keith Grindrod (Jackie) of New Bedford, Nancy Hughes (Dan) of East Freetown and Marcia Cote (Ray) of Rotonda, FL; her friend Lindy Jenkins of Fairhaven; and her siblings, Richard Karvonen and Betty Gifford. She is also survived by six grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
