The passing of Lawrence A. Collins of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, born in New Bedford, Massachusetts leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 8, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Collins and Elizabeth P. Collins (Frasier); and his sister Elizabeth Botelho. He is survived by: his wife Joan M. Collins (Sylvia); his children, Michael L. Collins (Debra) of Mercersburg, PA, Kathleen A. Casey (Mark) of Plymouth, Jane E. Baldwin (Robert) of Fairhaven and Dennis B. Collins of Fairhaven; his grandchildren, Magen Bransfield (Bobby), Ian Stillman (Liz), Amy Baldwin Tavares (Scott), John Baldwin (Vanessa), Erin Costa (Kurt), Caitlin Collins, Tyler Collins, Zachery Collins, Ryan Baldwin (Jen), Michael Collins and Sam Baldwin (Julia); and his sister Rosemary Meekin of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fairhaven Funeral Home (117 Main St, Fairhaven, MA 02719). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (74 Spring St, Fairhaven, MA 02719). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Cemetery (27 Main St, Fairhaven, MA 02719).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Fairhaven Council on Aging, 229 Huttleston Ave., Fairhaven , MA 02719, South Coast Center for Cancer Care, 208 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719, or the Community Nurse Home Care Hospice, 62 Center St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
