She was predeceased by: her husband Donald W. Nicholls; her parents, John Troy and Laura Troy (Walsh); and her sister Margaret Strachan. She is survived by: her children, Donald Nicholls Jr. (Cheryl) of San Jose, CA, Thomas Nicholls (Diana) of Stratham, NH and Marygrace Ferrari (Paul) of Billerica; and her siblings, Ann Mulry (George) of Saugus, Doris Garofalo, Evelyn Hall, John Troy and Edward Troy. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid, a celebration of Rita's life will be announced at a later date.
