He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent J. Shanley and Anna Shanley (McCarthy); and his brother Vincent Shanley. He is survived by: his spouse Gail A. Shanley (O'Brien); his children, Richard J. Shanley, Paul H. Shanley of Everett and Caitlin O. Shanley of Charlestown; his siblings, Joseph Shanley of Billerica, Michael Shanley of Braintree, Patricia Ring, Mary Villani of Brighton, Ann Moran of Brighton and Louise Burke of Beverly; and his grandchildren, Brayden, Luca and Noah Shanley. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home (65 Clark St, Everett, MA 02149). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (487 Broadway, Everett, MA 02149).
