She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse John W. Childs Jr.; her children, Karen Shaw (Mike), Kevin Childs (Ann), John Childs (Kathy) of Weymouth, Patricia Ware (Doug) of Wilmington and Mary Anne Trask (Paul) of Billerica; her grandchildren, Maryann Hanafin, Olivia Shaw, Steven Trask, Dana Childs, Thomas Trask, Daniel Trask, Hana Childs and Emily Childs; her great grandchild Grace Hanafin; and her siblings, Mary Adams and Leo Phalen.
