With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James R. Prentiss of Essex, Massachusetts, born in Danvers, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on September 9, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Prentiss (Kiley) and John "Bob" Prentiss; his brothers, Jack and Ray; his siblings-in-law, Don Poulsen, Anne Prentiss, Eileen Prescott, Paul Prescott, Joe Stasiuk and Steward Doody; and his in-laws, Elizabeth and Joe Bobola.
He is survived by: his wife Betty-Anne; his daughters, Jessica (Steven Bucknam) of Exeter, NH and Amanda (Ned Kittredge) of Hampton, NH; his grandchildren, Aidan Kittredge of Boston, James Bucknam of Exeter, NH, Brennan Kittredge of Hampton, NH, Sarah "Sadie" Bucknam of Charleston, SC and Elizabeth "Liz" Bucknam of Exeter, NH.; his siblings, Hank Prentiss (Barbara) of Florida, Tom Prentiss of Essex and Kathy Poulsen (Prentiss) of Lunenburg; and his sisters-in-law, Debbie Prentiss of Texas, Mary Doody of Beverly and Alice Stasiuk of Ipswich. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren and very dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Tunnels to Towers (T2T) organization.
