He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry M. Peters and Marion L. Peters (Ward); his mother-in-law Agnes Ross; and his brother Robert Peters (Jane). He is survived by: his wife Jan Ross; his daughter Elizabeth "Beth" Peters; his grandchildren, Liam and Maeve Collins; his sister-in-law Paula (Joseph Derosier) of Chicopee; and his nephews, Donald Derosier and Douwe Ledema.

In lieu of flowers, donors may contribute to a charity of their choice.
