He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Brown and Beulah Brown; his nephew Wayne Ratliff; his grandchildren, Sloane, Louise Ratliff, Helen Davis, Luenna Gullion, Maisel Cecil, Voris Caruso and James Pierce; and his nephew Robert Mielde.

He is survived by: his wife Carol A. "Sue" Walker (Mielde); his children, Deborah Walker of Easton, James Walker (Donna) of Bridgewater Corners, VT and Thomas Walker (Marie) of Easton; his grandchildren, James Walker Jr., Jared Walker (Kate), Matthew Walker, Jennifer Walker and Nicole Walker; his great grandchildren, Aurora Walker and Ava Walker; and his niece Sandra Ratliff Corner (late Richard). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
