He was predeceased by: his siblings, Clarence Alger, Alton F. Alger, Hazel Benton and Marian Rowand. He is survived by: his wife Jean A Alger (Southworth); his children, Donald R. Alger (Karen) of Whitman, Rev. Kathleen S. Alger (Debora-Ellen Brown) of Manchester, NH., Nancy Varney (Mark) of West Bridgewater and Robert L. Alger Jr. (Lori) of Middleboro; his grandchildren, Daniel Varney, Christopher Varney, Kim Quill, Joseph Alger, Zachary Alger, Marissa Strew and Stephanie Monroe; and his great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Taya, Hailey, Brianna, Michael, Kailee, Joseph Jr., Alyssa, Sean, George, Anna, Jonathon and Malachi.
