It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard J. Alfonso of Easton, Massachusetts, born in Brockton, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Alfonso (Bonamici); his children, Marianne Nedell of Taunton and Joseph D. Alfonso (Lisa) of Bridgewater; his sister Patricia A. Johnson of Easton; his grandchildren, Nicole Bettencourt of Plymouth, Derek Nedell of Taunton, Jenna Alfonso of Somerset and Alexandra Nedell of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his great grandchild Laney Bettencourt.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services (605 Washington St, South Easton, MA 02375). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Church (225 Purchase St, South Easton, MA 02375). A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the South Easton Cemetery (473 Washington St, North Easton, MA 02375).

In lieu of flowers donations in Richard's "Al's" Memory may be sent to Catholic Charities, 169 Court St, Brockton, MA 02302.
